Red Book: Tiger Save

Privacy Policy

Last updated: 6 August 2026 · Effective: 6 August 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Red Book: Tiger Save (the “App”, “we”, “us”) handles information when you use the App on your iPhone or iPad. Red Book: Tiger Save is a single-player conservation game in which you rebuild a fictional Red List of tiger subspecies. It is not a real wildlife registry, and it is not connected to any conservation authority.

The short version. The App has no accounts and no log-in. Your game progress, photos you capture in the App, and your settings stay on your device. We do not sell your data, we do not use it for advertising, and we do not build a profile about you.

1. Information stored on your device

Everything you create while playing is written to the App’s private storage area on your device and is not uploaded to us:

Deleting the App removes this data from your device. It is included in an encrypted device backup only if you have enabled backups yourself.

2. Camera and photo library

The App asks for camera access only when you start a stripe capture, and for photo library access only when you choose to import or export an image. iOS shows a permission prompt the first time; you can change or revoke these permissions at any time in Settings → Privacy & Security or in the App’s own settings page.

If you decline these permissions, the App remains fully playable — the stripe mechanic falls back to sample field images bundled with the App.

3. Information handled automatically

When the App starts, it makes a small network request to retrieve current configuration and policy content. To deliver that response and to keep the App stable, limited technical information is processed:

DataWhyRetention
App version, build, bundle identifier Serve content that matches your version of the App Short-lived server logs
Device model, OS version, language, region Compatibility and correct localisation Short-lived server logs
IP address (as part of any internet request) Technical delivery of the response and abuse protection Not stored by us beyond transient logs
Crash and error diagnostics Find and fix defects Aggregated, retained while relevant

This information is technical and is not used to identify you personally. We do not use advertising identifiers (IDFA), we do not run third-party ad networks, and we do not track you across other apps or websites.

4. Service providers

We rely on a small number of infrastructure providers who process data strictly on our behalf:

We do not sell or rent information to anyone, and we do not share it with data brokers.

5. Purchases

If the App offers paid content, the transaction is handled entirely by Apple through the App Store. We never see or store your payment card, billing address, or Apple Account credentials — we receive only Apple’s confirmation that a purchase succeeded.

6. Children

The App is suitable for a general audience and does not knowingly collect personal information from children. There are no accounts, no chat, no user-to-user messaging, and no user-generated content shared with anyone else. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

7. Security

Game data is kept in the App’s sandboxed storage, protected by iOS file-level encryption and inaccessible to other apps. Network requests are made over encrypted HTTPS connections. No system is perfectly secure, but we limit exposure by collecting as little as possible in the first place.

8. Your rights and choices

Where processing requires a legal basis under the GDPR, we rely on your consent (camera and photo library access) and on our legitimate interest in delivering a working, stable application (technical and diagnostic data).

9. International transfers

Our service providers may process technical data on servers outside your country, including in the United States. Where required, such transfers are covered by appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the App evolves. The revised version will be published at this address with a new “Last updated” date. Material changes will be highlighted in the App. Continuing to use the App after an update means you accept the revised policy.
